Full version Citavi for Windows (LMU campus licence)
You can unlock the full version of Citavi in two simple steps:
- Download the basic version Citavi Free to your computer and install the program.
- To activate the full version of Citavi you will need a licence key. Students and staff of the LMU should apply for this free campus licence using the online form. You will need an e-mail address in the LMU e-mail domain (an address ending in lmu.de or uni-muenchen.de, for example firstname.lastname@example.org) or a LMU user ID.
The campus licence authorises you to run Citavi on two computers, or one computer and a USB thumb drive. Shortly before the licence key expires you will receive a new key which will be sent by e-mail to your LMU login address.
You can download regular updates for Citavi. The program will notify you automatically of new updates as soon as they become available.
Parallel installation of both Citavi and EndNote on a single computer
You can also install both Citavi and EndNote on your computer at the same time provided you are using the operating system Windows.
Using Citavi as a team
You can collaborate with your colleagues or fellow students on your Citavi projects. You do not need a special team licence. It is sufficient if all team members have a licence for the full version of Citavi. There are only two things you need to use Citavi in a team:
- Citavi version 3.1 or newer. If you are using an older version of Citavi please download the current Citavi version.
- A drive accessible to all team members and on which you can save your team projects. Please note: cloud services such as Dropbox or LRZ Sync+Share cannot be used.
