Academic work - efficient research techniques and structured data management
Academic work is simply an integral part of studying, and you can't really hope to escape it. You've received your first term paper assignment, or you're possibly even preparing your bachelor thesis. What's the best approach? How do you get started? How do you find the information you need? How do you structure both your own approach and the data so that they remain understandable in the long term?
This event can provide you with important methods and tips to help you develop an efficient and structured approach to academic work. The first part of the course will focus on information retrieval using the internet, library catalogues and databases, and introduce you to the art of efficient research techniques.
The second part will concentrate on the structured storage of your data, and on data management. Topics here are centred on appropriate file naming and storage, together with data backup and the importance of observing backup rules.
Please note: The webinar will be presented in German.
