Returns
You should always return media to the library from which they have been borrowed.
Returns during the library's opening hours
- Zentralbibliothek (Main Library): at the self-service return machine in the Circulation Hall
- Lernzentrum Leo 13 (Leo 13 Learning Centre): at the returns desk
- Subject Libraries: at the returns desk at which you borrowed the media, or via a return box in the same Subject Library.
Please check the receipt which you receive when you return the item. Check to see whether all the media you have returned have been correctly checked back into the library. Please keep the confirmation of return as legal proof in case of dispute.
Returns outside the opening hours
Media borrowed from the Zentralbiblbiothek (Main Library) can be returned outside the Library's opening hours.
Self-service return machine
The self-service return machine is situated in the Circulation Hall, opposite to the UB.info. Please place the items to be returned one at a time in the self-service return machine. After completing the process, you can print a returns receipt.

Please note that there is no staff available to assist with the self-service return machine before 9 am.
Returning media for another user
You do not need the original borrower's LMUcard or library card to return an item. Please note that the original borrower is personally responsible for the correct return of the book.
