Literatur in Japanes
You can use "CiNii Books" (formerly "NACSIS") to search literature in Japanese language. CiNii Books is a union catalogue of Japanese university libraries and important European research libraries, and also includes all books of the Fachbibliothek Englischer Garten written in Japanese.
In CiNii Books, you can restrict your search to the holdings of the Fachbibliothek Englischer Garten:
- Open the "Advanced Search/図書館ID" interface and enter "FA019920" into the field "Library ID/図書館ID", to limit your search to our library’s collections.
- In order to see individual documents in the drop-down menu "Available at/大学図書館所蔵", please change the setting from "Any Areas/ すべての地域" to "Germany/ドイツ".
Electronic search resources
- Bibliography of Asian Studies (BAS)
The "Bibliography of Asian Studies" (BAS) predominantly references journal articles in the English language. Please use the University Library’s E-Media Login to access the database. - CrossAsia
The freely accessible 'Virtual Library' allows for searches in regional and national catalogues, and references electronic and printed resources alike. In part, it is possible to access full text databases. Search queries in "CrossAsia" can be formulated both by using Latin or East Asian characters.
Further databases pertaining to the study of languages and literatures are available via the Datenbank-Infosystem (Database Information System) DBIS, under "Allgemeine und vergleichende Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft" (Linguistics and literary studies).
